- June 7 to June 11, 2010 - South Bend, IN. This is a unique camp conducted by Dr. Dale Ulrich as part of a research study through the Center for Motor Behavior & Pediatric Disabilities at the University of Michigan. The South Bend location is new in 2010. For purposes of the study participation is restricted to children who meet the following criteria:
- Must have a diagnosis of Down Syndrome or Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Must not have severe behavioral issues in a social setting
- Must not be obese
- Must not have restrictive medical issues such as uncontrolled seizures or a heart condition
- Must fall in the age range of 9 to 18
- June 7 to June 11, 2010 - Parkersburg, WV. This is a new camp and our first in West Virginia. The local organizer is Dave Begg with Challenged Athletes of West Virginia. - June 14 to June 18, 2010 - Rohnert Park, CA. This is our longest standing camp dating back to 2001 in partnership with Dr. Elaine McHugh at Sonoma State University. The camp will be held on the campus of SSU. For more information email Dr. McHugh at elaine.mchugh@sonoma.edu.
- June 14 to June 18, 2010 - Santa Barbara, CA. The first camp in Santa Barbara will be held at the Page Youth Center. More information regarding registration or volunteering will be posted very soon.
- June 14 to June 18, 2010 - Grand Rapids, MI. - June 21 to June 25, 2010 - Allentown, Pa. This will be our first camp in this region of PA and it is hosted by Eastern PA Down Syndrome Center (EPDSC). - July 5 to July 9, 2010 - Schenectady, NY. STRIDE Adaptive Sports hosts our camp in Schenectady in partnership with the Down Syndrome Aim High Resource Center and the Autism Society of America Albany Chapter. - August 16 to August 20, 2010 - Austin, TX. The Down Syndrome Association of Central Texas has just opened up their camp for a 2 week pre-registration period during which they will gauge interest in the event. If you would like to attend the camp in Austin you are urged to contact Gerard Jimenez at gerard@austin.rr.com by June 13th. **UPDATE**: This camp has not generated sufficient response for 2010. Plans are already in the works to offer the camp in 2011.
- August 30 to September 3, 2010 - Windsor, ON. Our camp in Windsor is hosted by the Up About Down Association.
